You're walking out of a client meeting with three things in your head: email Ana about the new date, get a call with her on the calendar, and remember to send the revised shot list. By the time you've found a seat, opened your laptop and got to Gmail, one of the three has gone. Typing all of it on your phone while walking isn't happening either.

You can turn WhatsApp voice notes into emails, tasks and Notion pages with Perisclaw, an executive assistant that runs on your own WhatsApp number. Record a voice note in your "message yourself" chat, say everything in one go, and Perisclaw works from it like a typed message: it drafts the email in your Gmail, books the meeting on your Google Calendar, and adds the task to its own list or to Notion, Todoist or Asana. Emails and other actions that go out to people wait for your OK.

How turning WhatsApp voice notes into tasks works

Perisclaw connects to WhatsApp as a linked device, the same way WhatsApp Web does, and listens in your self-chat. A voice note there is handled exactly like a typed request, so you don't need to speak in commands or one request at a time. Think out loud: "remind me to call the dentist tomorrow morning and move my 2pm to Thursday" gets both things done.

It understands most widely used languages, and there's no language setting to choose first. You can also record inside another chat and include /claw in your request, though anything private is better said in your self-chat.

To act in other apps, connect them once. Connecting always happens in the web app, never in the chat, so your passwords stay out of your WhatsApp history: say "connect my Notion", open the link it sends, and approve access on the app's normal sign-in screen.

One voice note, three jobs: an example

Here's a voice note you might record leaving that meeting:

"Email Ana that we're moving the shoot to Thursday because the studio fell through. Put a 30-minute call with her on my calendar Wednesday at 4 to go over the plan. And add 'send Ana the revised shot list' to my tasks for Tuesday."

What happens next:

  1. The email: Perisclaw writes it in your Gmail and shows you the draft in your self-chat. Reply "send" (or ask for changes: "make it warmer, and mention we'll cover the rebooking fee") and it goes out from your own Gmail address.

  2. The meeting: it creates the event on your Google Calendar and invites Ana. If it doesn't have her email address, it asks. You get a confirmation with an Open in Calendar button, and Ana gets a normal invite, usually with a Google Meet link.

  3. The task: it's added to your Perisclaw task list, where it appears on the Today page and, when it's due, in your morning briefing. If you said "my Todoist" or "my Notion tasks", it goes there instead.

You can reply by voice too. "Send it, and push the call to 4:30" is a perfectly good answer.

Send an email from a WhatsApp voice note

Yes, you can send an email just by sending a WhatsApp voice note. Connect Gmail first: in the web app, open Apps, then Google, and choose Connect Gmail beside the account you want. Gmail needs its own permission, so connecting Calendar or Drive earlier doesn't switch it on.

Then just say who it's for and what it should say. Perisclaw saves the draft in Gmail and nothing is sent until you say send, either in WhatsApp or from the Today page. If you have more than one Google account connected, name the one to send from ("from my work email"). On Outlook, connect Microsoft 365 from Apps for your Outlook mail and calendar.

Google Calendar or Outlook

Google Tasks

Use Perisclaw's list, Todoist or a Sheet instead

A few details before you rely on it:

  • Sheets: Perisclaw can log rows into a sheet it creates or one you give it the link to. It can't go looking through your Drive for spreadsheets on its own.

  • Notion: once connected, Perisclaw can use what Notion's own connector allows, which includes drafting pages, updating them and changing database properties. Name the page or database you mean.

  • Confirmations: when a connected app is about to take a real action for you (not just read), Perisclaw checks with you first.

  • Anything else: the Apps page lists what's available right now, and you can add any tool that offers an MCP connection by pasting its address.

Prompts to try

  • "Turn this into a task list and add it to Todoist: [ramble through your week]."

  • "Email the vendor that we need the invoice with GST details, and remind me Monday if he hasn't replied."

  • "Find a free hour on my calendar next week and send Kabir an invite for it."

  • "Save these meeting notes as a Notion page under Clients, and pull out the action items."

  • "What did Priya say in that voice note?" (for voice notes other people send you)

Other ways to turn voice notes into tasks

Dictate straight into the app: your phone keyboard's microphone button types as you speak, in Gmail, Notion or any notes app. It's free and fine for one email; you're still opening each app and doing three jobs three times.

WhatsApp transcripts plus copy and paste: turn on voice message transcripts in Settings, Chats, then press and hold a voice note you received and tap Transcribe. You can copy the text into an email or a Notion page. It runs on your phone, so it's private, but it works on voice notes you receive, in a limited and changing set of languages, and it gives you text rather than a finished email or task.

Zapier: Zapier can start a workflow when a WhatsApp message arrives, then create a Notion page or a task. Its WhatsApp integration needs a WhatsApp Business Account on Meta's platform, and Zapier says a personal WhatsApp number won't work, so it suits businesses with a dedicated API number. You'd also need a step that turns the audio into text, and you set up the routing for each kind of job yourself.

Perisclaw if you'd rather say it once, on the number you already use, and have the email, the invite and the task done from one voice note.

FAQ

Is there an AI assistant that turns my voice notes into tasks?

Yes. Send Perisclaw a voice note in your WhatsApp self-chat and it turns it into tasks on its own list, or in Todoist, Asana or Notion if you've connected them. One voice note can create several tasks at once.

Can I send an email just by sending a WhatsApp voice note?

Yes. With Gmail connected, say who the email is for and what it should say. Perisclaw shows you the draft in WhatsApp and sends it from your Gmail when you reply "send".

Can WhatsApp messages become tasks in Notion or Google Tasks automatically?

Notion, yes: connect it from the Apps page and ask Perisclaw to add tasks or pages there. Perisclaw also picks up promises from your chats on its own and keeps them on its task list. Google Tasks isn't in the Apps catalog as of November 2026, so use Todoist, Notion or a Google Sheet instead.

Can an AI book meetings from my WhatsApp conversations?

Yes. Ask Perisclaw to put a meeting on your calendar and it creates the event and invites the people you name. For the back-and-forth of finding a time, ask it to coordinate the meeting and it runs the conversation until a time is booked.

Will it send anything without asking me?

Not by default. Emails and messages you ask for come back as drafts in your self-chat first, and actions in connected apps are confirmed before they run.
